Black Walker Evan beadlocks...

Whose running these? This is as much as a pic request as an inquiry. On their website, they have street and racing versions. They both look the same, same measurements, both have beadlocks, anyone know the difference?

i friggin love the look of these badboys. Im gonna start saving to get em now.

They look like bead locks but they aren't beadlocks.

Send a message via Yahoo to JohnnyWalker

I think it has to do with DOT approval. Racing beadlocks don't have it, street beadlocks do. Street beadlocks just look like real beadlocks, but don't actually lock the bead.

I would have a center cap to prevent the rusted axle mounting surface from showing. I would be putting em on the factory D30.

I sure love those wheels. Have them on my wish list but something else always jumps ahead. Keep hearing there's always a long backorder on them, true?

I have had 2 sets, both of which are pictured above. Both sets took a little over a month to get it, maybe 2 months at the most.

That seems about the same as what I'd been told.

They charge $40 - $50 per wheel for powder coat.

Marcus, are you a vendor for those badboys? I may have to settle for another wheel tho, 450 bucks plus a wheel is a lil extreme.

Did you rattle can them black yourself or did you pay the ridiculous cost of 50 dollars per wheel to get em in that color? That is whats steering me away from them is the cost of getting the matte black finish

I am a vendor for Walker Evans but they don't give us any breaks on the powder coat. If you bought them bare and took them to your local guy it would be that or more.

Send me a PM when you get ready and we can throw all the options at you. You might be better off with the simulated bead locks anyway. You can still wheel the hell out of non-deadlocked wheels.

Marcus
