Last Set of KM2s

Had a great wheelin trip out at Windrock Saturday minus a couple problems. I tore a 2.5 inch gash in the sidewall of one of my new KM2s. I was coming up through a steep, wet section with several rocks and I started hearing air leaking fast. I hurried to the top to a semi flat spot to check my tire but it was already flat.

This is the second KM2 35 I have ended up with sidewall damage like this. First one only had 200 miles on it and this one had less than 3000 miles on it. I wasn't running extremely low air, 15 psi both times. For as good of reviews this tire gets I have sure been disappointed with the sidewalls.

Of course if that wasn't enough, I had used an unfamiliar impact at local clubs shop day to put the tires on last and planned to retorque the lugs when I got home, which I never did, and broke my lug wrench and an extention trying to get the wheel off.

On a lighter note, I got to see a crazy ass Superduty go up about a 20 ft and 60 degree bank to get around us working on it.

That's what I passed the first one off as, but second time kinda makes me think there's a little more to it. If you feel the sidewall on one that isn't mounted they don't feel as durable as others.

I've been told by some the KM2's are known to have soft sidewalls.

I think this thing is finally coming together. Still Needed: drive shafts, frame mount rails...then done son! For a while...

Wet rock will cut tires much easier then dry. If you're going to wheel a lot in those conditions I'd get a set of 35 swamper SX's or Ltb for wheeling duty. If you cut an SX I don't know what to tell ya after that lol
