Trivial but annoying seat bolt question

Okay, I have this new 2012 Wrangler. On my old LJ, the seat bolts were just *there*. On this thing, there's this plastic *box* hiding the seat bolt. I want to slide a seat bolt mount for my iPad under the passenger side bolt (the one by the transmission tunnel). There is what looks like a notch to pop the top off the plastic box and I pop a wide screwdriver blade in there and the top cover pops up *just* enough that I can see the actual Torx bolt head below it holding the seat to the tub (just like on my old LJ)... but then something at the corner stops it from popping out any further. What's stopping it? How do I get this box cover out of there so I can put my Torx socket onto that bolt without breaking something?

This has to be simple, but it's annoying me...
