Dealership making JK8s ?!?

So me and my gf went to get a hoagie at this little corner store and while she's inside this guy came from the store and starts walking towards my jeep. Here I was thinking oh boy another guy coming over to say I have a nice jeep and asking how much everything cost to make it look like what it does, but instead he approaches me and comments me on my jeep and then told me that the dealership where I got my jeep from is making a JK8 and will be done and ready for sale within this week. He didn't not say which kind of jeep they're putting it on but he did say they have 5 more kits at the dealership ready to be installed, with a price of $12k extra on the original price tag for the kit and it being installed. Now I don't know if that's a good thing or not because If I start seeing them around here lifted with tires and everything like the river raider JK8 I'm going to be extremely jealous and going to want one!! Anyone else hear that dealerships are doing this ?

Allan Samuels Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge in Forth Worth had one at the last Texas JK meet... it was very nice. I do not think it is for me, I happen to like enclosed storage and I bought a four door for a reason, not a two door truck. But still, it is unique in that there are still so few of them out there.

Considering bone stock sticker on that jeep in the S option package is around 25,500 and the kit is going for around 6,000. looks like alot of hours of free labor.

You are "bothered" by people complimenting your Jeep and asking questions?

They should have either bit the bullet and have done this to a Rubicon or at least put some different meat under it. Damn thing looks like a newspaper delivery unit!
