Snorkel

I'm looking to put a snorkel on my '08 JK and was wondering if i should come out of the hood with it or out of the quarter panel....thoughts?

Are you looking to build one? Or just wondering which is preferred?

There isn't really a performance/functional gain of one over the other. Aesthetically I prefer the AEV, River Raider also makes a very nice unit as well. If I were to build one, I'd probably go similar to the AEV, seems like a straighter flow path. Another member on the forum did do a write-up on how they made their own out of fiberglass.

The River Raider Expedition Snorkel has been gaining a lot of popularity. Just sayin..

i've been lookng around and i thought the snorkel came out through the side front panel, but it doesn't...it's through the fender so ima go thru the hood...i liked the look of the snorkel above but i want to get a "Rav Air"...

Great picture...Killeen is my home. I did the AEV snorkel and was fairly easy to install. Looking at the River Raider snorkel for my new jeep.
