Doors off / Doors on / Doors off, again.

Group-

I have been enjoying driving my JK with the doors off during the first nice weather since I got her in November.

I haven't received my trail cover, yet, but wanted to know if anyone knows of any issue with running doors ON with the bolts OFF on the occasional day with rain forecasted.

Anyone else do this?

I ran mine all last summer without bolts whenever I put them back on. No issues at all.

You shouldn't have any problems leaving the bolts off. I took my doors off in the beginning of spring and left the bolts in my tool box. doors have since been on and off a few times due to the weather changing daily it seems and i've had no problems even running at highway speeds.

When the rare occasion cones that I have my doors on I don't mess with the bolts. My gf dds her Jk and runs without the bolts full time also with no issues

I think if you are upside down already the least of your worries are going to be your door falling off and getting scratched you open it... Even then the damn thing probably wouldn't come off as mine were always a bitch to get off.. Maybe we need some to do this experiment and video it!

CJ's never had door bolts They are for soccer moms who are scared theyre doors will fall off in a roll-over. But they put the warning sticker on the top that states that the doors and top are only intended to keep out the elements. Not for safety

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that running without the door bolts is the leading cause of death wobble!

J/k obviously. 3 years here with no bolts on.

I have no idea where the bolts from my doors are and it's only been 15 months. Grease those hinges though. The doors can be a bit stubborn to remove after they're in there without being yanked out for a while.

My front bolts only go back on in the winter, rear bolts go back in every time I put the doors back on. Kids ride in the back and no sense taking chances.
