spark plug options feedback

Would like some input on spark plugs you are running. I have ordered some granatelli plug wires and want to add some better plugs at the same time, I understand that plugs will not give me 20 more HP but there are some that will provide better performance and gas miles.

What are you running and what did you gain?

Also I will be running a RIPP supercharger in the next three months should I run a hotter plug?

I'd contact RIPP on their plug, and wait if they have an other-than-stock recommendation.

As far as plugs, I wouldn't recommend the gimmic plugs (E3). As far as what else is out there, I run NGK in all but my JK (not enough miles on it yet). NGK has always given me a little better running engine over other plugs.

I second NGK. I ran copper TR6, and the platinum TR7IX plugs in the past in my '04 Cobra and they were the best plugs I've ever ran. The Denso IT series plugs are good as well, ran those in an IT24.

RIPP will supply you with NGK iridium plugs, that are one heat range colder stock with the super charger.

FI = colder plugs, not hotter

I ran denso iridiums in my harley pickup at ~17LBS PSI of boost and they were great

I'll prob just goto NGK triple platinums on the JK - probably ought to think about doing that soon as a matter of fact...

I installed e3's 4 months (1,500 miles) ago and two already went bad.

I'm also anti-E3. Bought them and never even installed them due to visible irregularities. I have always had good results with NGK's though.
