4 years on my '07 and no problems yet!
there IS a big dent and a bunch of scratches in the frame above it tho.

I am on my 3rd windshield and this one needs replacing.

Up here they put sand/gravel on the highways in the winter. With the jeeps windshield being so vertical I need to replace it at least once every winter.

It ususwllay starts with a small crack, then with the heat inside the jeep and cold outside, it always crack. Actully pretty common here in Canada, but the JK seems to take a few more chips than usual.

some dumbass kids shot at mine with a pellet gun, put three "coke bottle bottoms" in it...

then when i rolled it it cracked all the way across a couple times, but did not shatter...

Mine has they typical "speckled" look from road debris, and one chip had to be filled, but luckily no actual cracks as of yet. 2007 BTW.

I also just realized that I just jinxed myself, and I'm going to walk out of the office this afternoon with a 36" crack all the way across for no good reason.

'09 2dr. I am on my third....or is it 4th windshield. Generally road debri or chips that spread. This one has a foot long crack on the passenger side and will need to be replaced soon.

Nope.. no problems in my 08. I can attribute this to two things.. I only have 14k miles on my rig and not alot of highway driving in it and the River Raider limb risers that have saved my windshield more times than I can count off road.

Smurfette, 2010, also has had no windshield problems.. can attribute that one to luck.

Project Double D's, 2007, never had issue either.

2008, took delivery 8/09/2007. No unexplainable our unusual damage...

91500 miles and about six chips by stones/gravel from the road, none in the driver's view. Final blow a couple months ago rock chip at the bottom center of the glass, came straight up a few inches and took a 90 degree turn. We have yet to replace it.

mine cracked after a week of having it and that was over a year ago. our first winter wife kicked on the defrost, and over an entire day, watched it move from the to center of the glass straight down the middle and then go right across the passenger side.

Each jk has been through a windshield.

When I had my 07.... 4 windshields in 2 year... Have my 10 now... will be replacing the windshield in June just before holidays... Up here the city sands the road with rocks not sand.

2008 with 50,000 miles; 6 or 7 chips from road debris and gravel; 1 large chip from hitting a large branch whilst wheeling; 2 chips in the line of sight, but don't bother me. Haven't looked at repairing or replacing until the windshield starts to crack.

i've had the rig 1 year and didn't make if fully through the winter without having it chip and then crack...

judging by others comments, i have a sinking feeling this may be a trend i'll be following

What are you guys paying for windshields? Mine have been 230 installed...

2008, happened in 2010.

I had a dump truck throw a boulder at mine while doing 70 down the highway... 1" off the driver side A pillar, halfway up... started as a chip and within a few weeks, it cracked.

SC is a $0 deductible state for windshields. so free replacement.

on my 2nd, getting a 3rd ASAP. The first one developed a 6" crack from the bottom of the driver side going straight up for no apparent reason, so I replaced last year. About 2 months ago, I was driving through a really overgrown trail and a small branch hit the windshield, which developed a crack in the same spot as the last one.

Same exact story here except I am still on number 2.

$245 and they come do it in my driveway or my work parking lot. They also vacuum the front and clean the dash!

Got my Jeep May 1 2009, no problems yet, but now that I say that I will probably get a chip this weekend...

I pay about $245 installed.

Have an 07 that has had a crack going from the bottom drivers to the middle of the passenger side since about 08. Was going down the interstate and a rock hit it. Within seconds it had spread across the width of the glass.

09 amd 5 rock chips. two from gravel on asphalt during road constructiom and 3 from a gravel truck, slowly lightening his load as he drove down the highway
