Someone may have already started a hundred threads about this, but I am getting annoyed. Because I want to know... what happened to the "Jeep Wave."
It used to have so much meaning to it, it used to make me feel so cool and en-thrilling. It used to be all the rage when I had a TJ, it was like every single TJ/YJ/CJ waved at each other, and it was awesome, its like we had our own little brotherhood. But now a days it never happens, JKs never wave at each other.
But today, what set me off is that I was driving down the road, on my way back from work, and I passed a JK. I waved... They flipped me off!
I mean, first of all, I come from a little old town (West Jefferson, NC) where everyone waves at everyone. So, I was surprised by that a little bit... but for a JK to flip another JK off, I was just shocked. I mean, I get if he was having a bad day, or something... but at least if its a Jeep don't flip me off, just don't wave. But there is no way that he has ever heard of the "Jeep Wave."
Its becoming an issue with our (JK) breed to (unless you are highly modded, and you passed another highly modded one), I still see TJs and all waving at each other, but JKs never ever wave at each other. I feel like an asshole waving at every single Jeep that goes by (only Wranglers though... no cherokees
). But I am just wondering what is happing to the Jeep wave? I am not trying to get a rant going or anything of the sort, just... asking a simple question.
Though, for an "on the record account" I myself do not EVER entend to give up... "Long live the wave!"
(I saw my sig on another forum, and loved it, he was not relating it to Jeep wave discussion, just kind of thrown out in the blue, and I have been thinking about ever since... and decided to ask you guys today, haha.)
Thanks to all who reply in advance!
