Question What happened to the wave...?

Someone may have already started a hundred threads about this, but I am getting annoyed. Because I want to know... what happened to the "Jeep Wave."

It used to have so much meaning to it, it used to make me feel so cool and en-thrilling. It used to be all the rage when I had a TJ, it was like every single TJ/YJ/CJ waved at each other, and it was awesome, its like we had our own little brotherhood. But now a days it never happens, JKs never wave at each other.

But today, what set me off is that I was driving down the road, on my way back from work, and I passed a JK. I waved... They flipped me off! I mean, first of all, I come from a little old town (West Jefferson, NC) where everyone waves at everyone. So, I was surprised by that a little bit... but for a JK to flip another JK off, I was just shocked. I mean, I get if he was having a bad day, or something... but at least if its a Jeep don't flip me off, just don't wave. But there is no way that he has ever heard of the "Jeep Wave."

Its becoming an issue with our (JK) breed to (unless you are highly modded, and you passed another highly modded one), I still see TJs and all waving at each other, but JKs never ever wave at each other. I feel like an asshole waving at every single Jeep that goes by (only Wranglers though... no cherokees ). But I am just wondering what is happing to the Jeep wave? I am not trying to get a rant going or anything of the sort, just... asking a simple question.

Though, for an "on the record account" I myself do not EVER entend to give up... "Long live the wave!"

(I saw my sig on another forum, and loved it, he was not relating it to Jeep wave discussion, just kind of thrown out in the blue, and I have been thinking about ever since... and decided to ask you guys today, haha.)

Thanks to all who reply in advance!

Haha Jesus...1,000 threads is more like it.

As far as getting flipped off, that's just fud up. The only time I wave at a JK is if it's modded though, otherwise it's gonna be some chick with her head up her ass (or her cellphone) 99% of the time.

I am sorry, the modds can delete this or what not if they would like to since there are already 100 on here. I was just wondering. But yea, mosta the time its some chick on her phone. Except for me... I'm driving a non modded one at the moment. But... Rims are soon to be ordered (withen a week) and I got the tires on the way... I can not wait to get away from stock... Haha

My JK was my first jeep. I always wave at other keeps, regardless if it stock or modded out. It is a club and the wave is a way of acknowledging another like-minded individual whose has made the same choice to drive a jeep.

I usually see the same five keeps on my drive to work. Over the course of the last six months, our two-finger steering wheel wave has almost turned into drive by high-5s.

Both my daughters think it is cool to get waved at and to wave at others.

My son and i play a modified "Punch Buggy" game. He gets to punch if they don't wave, I get to punch if they do. He's punching me 10-1 every time we go anywhere.

What is IBTM?

We had to come up with something. There aren't very many hippie red-necks here in south GA. It must be too hard to get 35" mud tires under a VW Beetle. It does have a built in Spittoon in the dash tho..... Oh thats a vase?
