Jeep won't run.....

Well the JK was towed in this evening. Been having some weird issues....first off when shifting(it's a 6-speed) I noticed an abrupt loss of power, maybe 200-400 RPM's. Then it kicked right back in.

last night, crank it up turns over and as RPM's drop back to the usual 750-1000 RPM range to idle it would suddenly die. Played with it for 5 minutes it fired up and everything was fine.

This morning it wouldn't roll over....strong crank but wouldn't turn all the way over...

Time to sit an ponder now...have any of you experienced similar problems?

Sounds like a PCM issue of some sort, then again it could be anything.

What do you mean it has a strong crank and wont turn all the way over? Is the engine turning while cranking?

Well I'm not mechanically inclined, but it's not just clicking or sluggish it's a strong crank. EDIT: girlfriend hates when I play on the forum at dinner.

What your saying then is the engine turns over but doesn't start, right? What year is it,how many miles on it? If it has a fair amount of miles on it I would say it sounds like the crank position sensor.

Somethin's happenin' here, what it is ain't exactly clear, there's a man with a gun over there,a tellin' me,I have to beware.....

If you had lots of miles on it I would suspect fule filter. But that's probably not it at 13K.

So dealer calls and says there's a code for an intermittent key. My keys bad.....sounds screwy.
