My thoughts are for only 500 bones, you should get a bumper. If you need tire clearance, trim your factory fender flares. It would seem more practical than after market flares and cutting your bumper. At least you'd have a place to mount a winch when you get another $500 to spend.
PSC bumpers are sweet but i went with an A.C.E Engineering stubby.
