Zero returns using advanced search here, and Google returns a lot of other people asking the same thing along with a lot of guesses as to what it actually "fixes" so I hope an insider here can help clue me in.
At dealership "A" last week I went in for a free oil change, no mention of recall, TSB (RRT) or anything. Today at another dealership, let's say, "B" I wanted my alignment checked as I was noticing some slightly uneven wear vs back tires (turned out ok so I just rotated them) but they said I had a "free rapid response transmittal 10-066." After 6 years of owning a Dodge diesel pickup and almost one year now a Jeep, this was the first I'd heard of an RRT. When I asked what it was, he said it was similar to a recall (I counted to 10 in my head)... and clarified asking, no, what will it fix or change? He was clueless, even after looking it up on his computer, he "guessed" it was a PCM reflash (which is all it says on my receipt).
Meat of the matter is, does anyone know what the heck did it do to my PCM? Secondly, why should this be a mystery to the owner of the vehicle, or such a difficult question for the tech to answer?
