Exhaust manifold gasket

I'm new to working with exhausts and i'm installing the RIPP long tube headers this weekend.

The instructions say to reuse the stock gasket. What is that gasket made of and do i need to pick up any type of treatment to put on it before reinstalling?

Any help on the gasket is appreciated.

I think this thing is finally coming together. Still Needed: drive shafts, frame mount rails...then done son! For a while...
