Aftermarket door check straps/assemblies?

I know I've seen them 1,000 times but I cannot figure out where. I am looking to see what aftermarket check straps or I guess "linkage" is available. The corner of my OR-Fab cage floor mount wore through my driver's door check strap. Surely the passenger is not far behind.

Any suggestions?

Thanks-

http://www.quadratec.com/products/13029_301X_PG.htm

That is what I was looking for. Has anyone used these? Anyone have them be able to show me some clearance pics? I have the 3/8" cage plate right there on the pinch seam I need to clear. I'd call quadratec, but I question their tech support!

Goody... I just installed a set yesterday! Timing is everything.... I have the MORE "dead pedal"; and the "hold-open" works with that in place. I don't have a cage; but i do understand what your concern is. Give me a little time and I'll get you measurements and pics. Just a note.... the doors don't open quite as far a stock; about 3" to 4" less than straps only; however, they open far enough to get in and out without the necessity to learn a new method/sequence to do so! I'll be back... heard that somehere before.

Thanks for the info. 3-4" seems like a bunch. Just entertaining the thought of something a little better. I'll keep my bungee cord on it until I hear back from you lol. It at least "slows" it down before it smacks the fender because I'm not used to it!

Why dont you get some stainless steel mesh and some gromets, and make your own?

Yes, but there's just something about him. Something around the eyes, I don't know, reminds me of... me. No. I'm sure of it, I hate him.

Perfect! Thank you very much! I think the 3rd picture tells me that will be right on my cage. However I don't see any issue with shimming the block that goes to the tub out to clear it. The "quick release" for the check strap will probably be right up against the cage, but I never take off my doors anyway. So it's not a big deal to me.

How well do you like them? If you just kinda fling the door open will the first detent catch pretty well?

Getting used to them. I have a 20* sloped driveway; so, I don't think it'll take too long to adjust to the benefit. I think my regular passengers will adapt quickly, also. I used to fling the door; but keep my hand on the shell to min. bounce-back. Now, I don't fling so much; rather, just hand-open and let-off when I feel the first detent. The hardware seems to be well designed; and sturdy. We shall see... as long as they last; I'll appreciate them greatly!

Best regards, Bill
