Difference in rubi case vs X

Basicly I'm wondering if the front have of an x case would be the same as a rubi. I have a rubi case that has a fine crack and needs replaced to be good. I have a good case but if I sold it I'd only get maybe 300 bucks for it. A new case half is 3-400. So.... Wondering if I can steal my Xcase half and fix the rubicase? Thanks for the help

They are pretty much identical except for the gearing. My guess would be that you could rebuild the rubi in the x housing.

i'll bump this one more time. Im like the above post. Looking at them they look the same but i cant find the actual part number on the front half.

Anyone know how to look up or cross part numbers? i may just call the stealership and see if no one else knows for sure. It'd be a pain to tear the x case down and then it not be the same. Thanks for any help
