Headliners for hardtop

Hot heads and the one northridge are selling are way too pricey. Is anyone using the rugged ridge one? I also found one on eBay for 179. Any suggestions are great.

I just answered my own question. I'm going to make templates and use hard insulation board have it wrapped in something maybe vinyl and attatch it with Velcro. If it works I will post some pics.

HotHead Liner

I bought these because as a big time DIY'r it seemed to me that my time was worth something..... By the time I make patterns/buy the material and do the first class work I would have more into it than these actually cost.

Just my opinion ... I could be wrong !!

The Project is moving forward.

not sure if you're running a soft top or not, but i just bought the best stop soft top liner, and i haven't noticed any changes in the noise dampening or in the heat reduction at all. kinda bumed me out.

I bought the hot heads that were on clearance. The gray was just a little off from the front ones to the back. Not a big deal for me since you cant really tell at a quick glance. I got them for a nice discount off of there website. Might want to look at the damaged section you can find good deals.

I can back that one up as well. That and they really DO help in the Texas heat and short winters. Really helps get the inside temps down and keeeps me from running the AC or heat full bore all the time.

Don't do it, buy them. They will look like shit and prolly not work as well. Best mod I put on the jeep. If you buy them don't go with the velcro.

I saw a REMARKABLE improvement just by painting the inner perimeter of the rood with bullshit high gloss black paint. No sanding, no prep. Washed it and hit it with cheapo rattle can high gloss. And since it was only the inner perimeter you cant even tell.

Soon to be a vendor!!!
Looking for a good Rat Rod JK donor vehicle.

Mark- I am interested in HH headliners for a two door '10, but I read that the Velcro is not as good as the 3M. All I see for salmon the site for two door is Velcro.

What is up with that?

Ron
