New Jeep pup

After losing my dog Remi, the dog that fought parvo and won, to lets just say me not being watchful i realized after a week that it really sucked not having a pet around the house.
So i went to the Abilene pound and found this little girl. Named her Tinker just so when she's at Venom's house it makes it easy to call his dog Tank who we call tanker alot and her at the same time or to confuse them
Not exactly sure what kind of dog she is but the paper said pit/mix but she has cool markings and is pretty smart and sweet from what Venom tells me. He's holding her til i can get up there this weekend to pick her up.

this is her in venom's jeep coming home from the pound

Surviving Parvo is impressive. You spent some vet time/money on that I'm sure. New pup looks curious already, so make sure you get her fixed.

spent $200 on a vet bill and all he did was keep her in a cage for 1 night and give her medicine that made her puke.

$12 at the grocery store for pedialite and baby ensure and forcing her to drink it and 2 days later she was up and running again.

needless to say i never went back to that vet and this new pup isnt going to him either. im driving an hour away to a vet Venom reccommended to me.

Good vets are hard to find. Ours is like 85 years old and charges $18 for an office visit. I'll go broke(r) if he ever retires.

Nice Pup Chris. On the vet issue I have seen worse. We used to show livestock in East Texas and one of my friends took her show lamb to the vet because it had lost weight. Long story short the vet decided that the lamb was depressed (no shit) and needed therapy to get back to eating. Needless to say (after 2 sessions) we discovered that her lamb actually had worms and one week later it was back to its original weight. Moral of the story is some vets just lack the common sense needed to do that job.

In any case, yes your pup does look like she has some pit in her. I found a fullblood rednose pit in my local shelter and she has been the easiest to train, best behaved dog I have ever owned. Just establish dominance early.

Remi was half Lab so i know how it is lol. Just hoping she doesnt eat my house

every dog i have ever owned has been a rescue of some sort, whether from the pound, someone who couldnt take care of the dog, a stray, or just a friends dog that got knocked up by the neighbor's dog. only 1 dog i ever bought from a breeder was for my mom. she just had to have that dog lol.

she recovered 100% from parvo but didnt win against the truck that hit her
i take the blame for it and it hurts pretty bad. but it wont happen again, learned from my mistake

It's definitely a mod. See if something doesn't get changed on the inside of the Jeep.

I rescued a lab/german shepard mix about a 1.5 years ago. with that combo I knew I needed to do obedience school, plus he's the first dog I've had for myself. I'm sure glad I did, he's smart as a whip and rarely gets into stuff. Kongs got me through the teething. Its funny now cuz he'll still go find his kong when he wants to chew on something, even if there's no treat in it. we used to keep a rotation of them through the freezer in hopes of keeping him distracted from chewing on our stuff

She's definitely Pit!
smart and sweet.

soon as I got her into the Jeep today, she peed, pooped and puked - the full aroma trifecta!

just glad I had her in the crate
I'm sure it was just nerves.

anyway, soon as you get here this weekend, you got some puppy belly rubbin to catch up on brotha!

Larry and Chris-

I just received a PM from Tinker. She said to tell you guys that she wants some scraps from The Whistle Stop ASAP.

FWIW- Why she couldn't have just texted or PM'd this to one of y'all, I don't know.

As we try to goto sleep, she's making her unhappiness of being alone for the night very vocal......
