Jeep Trail Rated........The Truth

Trail rating specifically is a Jeep marketing term. The actual testing is done by a 3rd party in Nevada. All Jeep 4x4's have to pass their test with a 5 or better to earn the badge. If they don't they go back and work on them to get them to pass.

You guys think its bullshit because you don't know why and no one can answer why....I can

Thanks for that info and the links. I remembered that there was an actual independent "test" to determine if a vehicle was Trail Rated but had never bothered to research it.

My Jeep wears the badge with pride, which was purchased from your business.

I can't figure out why Jeep would put out a vehicle that wasn't trail rated. Doesn't make much sense to me.

Trail Rated. Unless you drive your Jeep on a Trail. Then, of course, it voids your warranty.

Because people like 20" Wheels and not every
one buys a Jeep for trail use.
