Wheel Locks?

I am getting ready to install my new wheels/tires he shortly and would like to "protect" my investment with a set of wheel locks. Does anyone recommend a particular brand? Where to get them? What thread size?

Thank you...

i can tell you that i DO NOT reccommend buying the ones from advanced, oriellys, or autozone... the keys on them break easy... there is a thread on here somewhere that discussed good wheel locks, let me see if i can find it for you...

I've got a set of th mopar wheel locks. They came with my jeep when I bought it. I like them, as its not a pain to get the wheels off if you have the key... but... DO NOT LOSE OR FORGET WHERE YOU PUT THE KEY. I you do, you up the proverbial creek... on a good note, no crackheads have tolen my wheels for scrap aluminum, so the locks are doing their job.

I have a set of Gorilla locks on mine. Think I ordered them from Quadratec. Looking a little rusty but doing the job.

They deter the common thieves but nothing will stop the determined professional.

Gorilla, they are also the most slender, some locks will not fit in the lug hole of aftermarket wheels.

I use the Mopar set, it comes with five. I haven't had them long but am well pleased so far. They look well made. I have stock Rubi wheels.

im not sure what kind i use cus but when i bought my wheels and tires from discount tires they put on a set of lugs that use a special socket that goes to all 20 lug nuts. but my spare tires use a special bronze key to lock the wheel to the tire carrier. go buy or check discount tire out online and they should sell them as a set.

Nice one Codd. Why dont you go have a Crainal Anal Inversion and call me tomorrow?

Thanks to people like you I have job security!

Discount tire uses Gorilla. I can't believe they put the lock on all 20. On the two sets of wheels I have purchased from them, they just gave me one lock for each wheel.
