is it worth it?

I have found a 2008 2 door with 65K miles, it's the X, has a lift and aftermarket wheels and tires in very good shape. It's a manual transmission. They are asking 19800. I think it's a little high for the price but just curious what others think. TIA

FWIW I got my brand spanking new 2007 2 dr X for 20k out the door back in Jan. 08. I would suggest looking for a good deal on a low mileage 09 or 10 before dropping almost 20k on a 65k mile 2dr X. Mods or not. Hell, I've seen low mileage Rubi's sell for less.

The spare does not match. I would not buy it just for that reason.

maybe if you get them down about $3K, that's about what I'd be willing to pay just at first glance. But I'm also a part of the low-baller club. check out edmunds.com for used vehicle pricing, I've had good luck getting a feel fair market values there

I bought my 2008 brand new with warranty for that much. Used Xs are going for about 14-15K where I live.

Whoa, that is 2000 less than what I paid for my 2007 Sahara Unlimited with 23k on it.

I would walk away from that dealer unless they come down at least 3000-3500 dollars. Even then I hate paying for other people's mods... I prefer to by stock and build them to my personal preferences. What good is paying for mods if you end up changing them? You could get a stock X for about 15k, regear, lift and get new rims and tires and be at or below what that dealer is asking.

Edit: and the more I think about t, the more that spare tire is really annoying me!

^^^X2. Got my '07 X 4D with 20,000 miles for $17,000. And that was 2 years ago. Good luck bro, just gotta keep looking and jump on one when its right. Plus the more you look the more you'll know when you see a good deal.

It also says it is an Auto transmission, not a manual.

Well I went to look at it and it's been used for sure. I thought it seemed a little high but the interior is abused the seat was torn and looked like the steering wheel had been used to work on grip strength exercises. Thanks for the input.

If the original owner ever took it off road they were not with anyone who knows what they were doing. There is not one tow point on that thing.

Definitely an abused mall crawler.

Didn't read the replies but I bought an 08 2 door X with hard top, power, 3.73, 6 speed Rubi tires blah blah blah with 18k miles for $16750 last April.

i bought my 2007 Rescue Green 2-door Rubicon 6-speed for $20K even on ebay last summer... 37000 miles and had transferable extended powertrain warranty... thing is loaded too... every option except dual tops... hard top only...

there are good deals out there... dealers try to mark up modded jeeps because they "look cool"
