Is this a.k.a. WMS to WMS?

Was looking at axles and wondering.

Sorry for the hijack.

WMS to WMS is "wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface." Where they mount on each side against the brake rotors.

Not sure what trailer you have, but I tried this with my M416 and ordered an axle from abctrailerparts accordingly...ended up with wheels sticking out way too far from the trailer and had to order another shorter axle to get it to look right. Tracking was still fine, even in mud.

Found this thread during a search as I am also getting ready to build a trailer. I am confused as to why your wheels stuck out to far if you ordered an axle with a hub face to hub face width equal to the JK (65.5"). Did you use trailer wheels with different specs like back space, etc.?
