Aftermarket differential covers

Are aftermarket differential covers used for looks or do they serve an important function? Are they worth it for an off roader?

They are a lot stonger. Stockers bend fairly easy. It is a very bad thing to lose your diff fluid.

I think your questions were answered, so for what its worth...

Go with the SOLID diff covers. They are half the price of others and every bit as strong, if not a bit stronger. People needlessly worry about getting hung up on the ridges of the diff cover and I say needlessly because I like to wheel in all sorts of nasty terrain and I've yet to have any issues with mine.

Yeah, I checked out their web site. The covers are a third the price of some.

Thanks again everyone.
