What If You Could...

So, I was up late, bored, and sippin' on Jack D. My mind started wandering. I started thinking about hookers and blow ...how to turn my garage into a meth lab run by midgets ...you know, guy shit.

Anyway, to the point. I grabbed a pad of paper and started writing. What would I build if money wasn't an issue. I pretty quickly got to three pages. Although part of my list, I wasn't initially concentrating on armor. I was concentrating on what's under the Jeep and under the hood.

So, what would you do if you had the following:

-Stock JK Sport (why get a Rubicon if you're going to rape and pillage it)
-Unlimited $$$$$$$$$$
-A fully equipped garage and all the necessary expertise

Would you go 2 door or 4 door? Manuel or auto?

Here's how my list started thinking 2 door ...definitely manuel (cause that's what I'm leaning toward next - no more car seats) but not convinced that I can do without the extra room? I'm not sayin' the below is perfect or complete ...I just started writing.

UNDER THE JEEP
-Dynatrac ProRock D60 front and rear with ARB air lockers and 5.13 gears
-Mickey Thompson MTZ LT395/70R16
-Black Rock Lobo Series 950
-Rock Krawler 3.5" X factor plus coil over long arm system
-Fox Racing steering stabilizer/high steer correction
-Bilstein shocks
-Rebel Offroad front and rear brake conversions
-Gibson exhaust
-River Raider full skids
-Tatton drive shafts
-Synergy Suspension front and rear track bars
-EVO control arm skids and gussets
-Poison Spyder evap skid

UNDER THE HOOD
-Diesel engine ???
-River Raider snorkel
-sPod
-PSC steering

IN THE JEEP
-Tuffy underseat and center console
-Corbeau seats ???
-River Raider Cage
-Kick ass sound system
-Cobra 75
-SpiderWebShade
-Safari Straps grab handles, fire extinguisher mount, etc.

OUTSIDE THE JEEP
-EVO 1/4lb bumper with stinger
-Warn Powerplant
-EVO rock sliders
-EVO aluminum fairlead
-Viking synthetic winch line
-Poison Spyder BFH rear with stinger tirer carrier
-Poison Spyder front and rear crusher flares
-Poison Spyder or EVO body armor
-Poison Spyder crusher corners
-Rigid LED lights on windshield, front bumper, and reverse lighting
-Hi-lift jack
-Tube or 1/2 doors (not sure which)

MISC
-FAT pack
-Recovery kit

So ...what wou you do??

I would lose the 5.13's in favor of 5.38's and run Spyderlocks on Toyo MTs in 37x13.5. I'd also go with Fox shocks with remote reservoir (even though that's overkill IMO) and lose the Corbeau's in favor of MasterCraft. They make awesome stuff.

I'd also say ditch the River Raider cage and go with a custom job since we're pretending we have money

Honestly?
Do all the supporting mods to run 40's with a really nice ride and demote the jk to street duty.
Then I'd buy the necessary tools and build myself a sick buggy to play in.

Yes, but there's just something about him. Something around the eyes, I don't know, reminds me of... me. No. I'm sure of it, I hate him.

I'd do the opposite...I'd run 40's and demote the Jeep to trailer status, then get one of those new F-250's to tow it. They're sick.

I love my JK, but its not a basher and never will be no matter what you do to it unless its no longer a JK.
I want something I can treat like I treat my ATV's.

Hell if money were no option, I'd just ship it to Larry at PSC and let him go to town! Then I'd take the family to our private island in the Caribbean, you know the one with my Rum distillery, and wait for the finished JK to be shipped back... I mean, as long as I'm dreaming

Unlimited funds, and you went with a cheezy Cobra 75! At least get a real CB and a sat-phone with bluetooth!

Look past the cheap Corbeau seats and go straight to custom Twisted Stitch.

Screw the steering stabilizer, go PSC hydro!

You got 60s man, get the 5.38 gears.

Also Add:

* ORO rock lights
* Bigger tires and Trailready HD beadlocks
* Poly Performance Baja Basket with a Baja bin mounted on it for storage
* Atlas-4
* Powertank
* Daystar hood wranglers

I totally got in the zone with your image, but I was envisioning the midgets kind of like Santa's little elves (only mechanics) that also make meth so they can work around the clock.

True, but for the wheeling that's available to me in this part of the country a buggy would be overkill for me.

True enough, but you're closer to wheeling than me

I'd ditch the 5.13's in favor of 3.73's... with AxleTech Portal conversions on the front and rear axles to gain 5 inches of "under the axle" clearance, with a 1.5x gear reduction and the wheel ends, further reducing strain on the ring and pinion.

Engine... I'd either swap in a diesel from a foreign Jeep or go with the Duramax from the Chevy vans with a 4L85E transmission.

In fact this is my "long list" plan after I get done with school. Doubtful I'll ever get her to this point though.

Alternatively, I'd convert to a 4 door Jeep truck with a separate bed and cab... I've already drawn up some plans for the design... If money were no object, I'd probably do 2 Jeeps, one truck, one like I got now haha.

Well if you could pull off your first thought, you'd have the funds to do your jeep...............Breakin' Bad anyone?

When I was living in Cleburne county Alabama on a little over 25 acres, I just kept thinking one good crop, one good crop.

When you're dreaming like this all wheeling is available to you. Stop being so local, you're a man of means.

If I had unlimited funds, I would:
  • Buy Poly Performance, TeraFlex, MBRP, and Poison Spyder
  • Have my experts (see above) work together to build me the badest JK ever
  • Post pictures of it here on the forum
  • Buy JK-FORUM and make the beotch sign an agreement that he'd never have anything to do with the Jeep world again or face death by honey & fire ants

Nothing, I'm doing it now.

no need for 5.38 gears with a more powerful motor under the hood.

I'd run Rockwell axles with 40's under the 4door with a built chevy 350, propane powered. stretch the front & rear a few inches. custom coil overs at every corner.
everything else I'm already doing...very very slowly.

homebuilt JK - blood, sweat, lemonade. renamed LOOSE NUTS

Aren't Rockwells like a 6.72:1 ratio or something crazy like that?
