bad slave cylinder?

my jeep clutch squeeks really bad when i push the pedal in. ive oiled it up really good... could the slave cylinder need replaced?

nah if the slave was bad you would have no clutch pedal, you prob have bad throw out bearing like so many others, there is a TSB for it I believe.

what is a TSB? and what part should i be looking for? sorry i dont really know much about this

Technical Service Bulletin. Look for the Throw out bearing. your stealership will have this bulletin. there may be charges. if you are mechanically inclined or have some jeeper friends that are, you can do this yourself if the charges are too much. if it's still under warranty they should fix for no charge. TSB may allow no charge also. JK service manual will have better diagram. try this link:

i think the tsb is for when it squeels when you dont have the pedal in.

Is it squeeking during the movement of the clutch pedal?
Is it squeeking with the motor not running?

If yes then it could be the slave. Mine was doing that after the dealer
tried to replace it. Apparently they did not bleed it well.

yes squeeks when i push it in and when the motor is off... sounds like its almost too dry but i oiled it up and it only worked for about 3 seconds. its a really irritating loud noise

with the engine running and the clutch depressed does it squeak continuously or just once on depression?

it squeeks only when i push the pedal in and out.... but i just drove it and it didnt do it at all... its completely random.
