painted vents

i was bored the past 2 days so i decided to paint my vents and the vent surrounds. i was in no hurry what so ever. once i popped them out and cleaned out all of the dirt and grim that was on the inside of the vents. i couldn't beleive all the shiat that was in there. i then sparated the vent components and got me a make shift table and some cardboard and started at it. i threw on some gray primer and let it sit for the evening. then today, i threw on a 2nd coat of gray primer(it's amazing how quickly stuff dries in the direct sun light), once dry i then grabbed my color matched paint that i had the local stealership order for me a couple of weeks ago. $9 a can, and it's the size of one of those minature pop cans. so i spray them down and threw a 2nd coat on there. put everything back together all before the wife had to leave for work. the only complaint she had was that the jeep smelled like pain i'm thinking that i might take them out again and throw some clear coat over the top of it, but i don't know right now. i love the way it looks! it's not too noticeable since i drive a steel blue, but in the right sunlight it really pops out. as soon as i get another can of paint i'm probably going to do my tweeters and speakers. it's a great little mod.

that sucks that you guys don't like it. it was just something to do cuz i was bored. it's not like it's bright red or have glowing neons behind it or something. i understand the import thing, it's not like i went to auto zone cuz i was dragging the local main strip and all of the hs douches are doing it now a days. just sayin

Finally, someone who doesn't cry when somebody doesn't agree with what they did with the Jeep I like it personally.

Looks good. Not sure how it will hold up with the primer on plastic but it may be fine. If it does give you any trouble with flaking, I've had good luck spraying it with adhesion promoter before the primer.

Was that double negative intentional?

Thumbs up

I like it bro. It looks great with Steal Blue! Red is way ricer tuner, but the steal blue is a subtle color yet comes to life in the right light! Big up for you!
