I just made one out of 3/16 th. It's still in the making. Just started to make the tire carrier. Ordered a draw latch. And ordered a spindle from A to Z fab.

I grinded a line to make the bends than MIG welded the seams that I bent

This is a test fit. Since have welded on shackle tabs and started on carrier.

Cost me only 80 bucks. Got steel free from work. Just had to order spindle and latch.

i was thinking of something very simple. here's what i'm thinking of so far.
i have not put any angles on the ends or any cosmetic stuff. but you get the idea. the side view is shown with a 37*12.50 with 0 offset. and the third is just a simple latch i thought up. not sure if i would use it or go with something else.

that carrier design looks exactly like Rock Hard's
strong & simple.

Those T handles work great but they rattle. That would drive me crazy.
Here is a good draw latch. I got the #3 for my build. Only took 2 days to receive it ordering through this place.

Also anyone building a bumper I recommend making one out of cardboard first to get a idea what it is going to look like and to get your measurements straight.
