HardTop options

If a new Hardtop were to hit the market, what changes would you like to see made?

I would like to see more insulation and then instead of the freedom panels that have to come off all the way. I think it would be cool to have some kind of design that they slide open, manually of course. Let's see oh yeah split windows in the back. Also a canopy system in back that you could use as a shelf to store small stuff but you could take it off if you want. A better designed windshield fluid hose adapter that stays in place. Mine always comes off and wiper fluid goes every where. So like a design that would make it clip in would be great.

1) Fast back style like the Wild Boar. (cause that looks awesome!)

2) Glass tops for the freedom panels. Glass top in rear roof section if possibel too. (feeling of no top while still having a top)

3) More insulation is key. (shiz gets hot in the desert and noise reduction)

4) Maybe integrated system for yakima or other roof rack. (would be nice to have more space in my 2dr okay)

5) Maybe integrated tabs for roof lights or light bar mounting points. (dont like the look of the hoops going around the window frame)

6) Ability to take rear and side windows out while still keeping the hard top on.

7) Price must be right or your not going to sell any.

Overall I have been happy with my factory '11 HT over the past 4 months and 5k miles...

But if I could change a few things, a fastback like ^ said, as well as better insulation would be nice.

Fastback style for sure. I can live without the freedom panels. I'd rathr have a sunroof. Extra insulation is nice as long as the weight is kept down. I really would like to be able to put a ski rack on, even with the 2 door. Having the sides come off is something i asked the engineers about at Camp Jeep a long time ago and they looked at me like I was from outer space. I always thought that would be cool. Plus it would make removal easier.

I have looked

I would like glass panels for the front freedom top panels.

Sloped back (like wildboar design) is cool but less important than a sunroof or removable glass panels.

Attachment points for a roof rack would be helpful. (option)

Sliding rear windows would be a plus or removable. (2dr)

my 2 cents

The Project is moving forward.

I would like to have one that's much lighter with removable insulation panels like the Hot Head Headliners. I'm looking for one-man no-garage removal.

Been looking at the wild boar website. They offer the t-top or the sunroof options. Where did those glass freedom panels come from Cbass? Anyone know IF you can just order those and IF so will they will fit the stock hardtop?

I have my trektop and love the fastback style. Hardtops look sweet. Wanna sell my stock JKU top and get one of those.

Drip rails / rain gutters that actually work so when you open a door in the rain water doesn't come pouring off the roof into the Jeep.

good idea...to expand on this...removable side windows and removable rear hatch. They would need to be in frames of course, would be like a soft top with all the sides removed.
