How long does it take?

For the dealer to replace the first gear syncro's in a six speed?

Took the Jeep in two weeks ago today, they found the problem straight away and ordered the parts witch got there on the following monday. Installed the parts on the wedsnesday, and on thursday i was told i could pick the jeep up on the friday (a week ago).

Called just to make sure it was ready but was in the diagnostics bay, called on saturday same thing, called on monday, tuesday wednesday and yesterday, same thing. The jeeps in the diagnostic bay. Have now been told it will be ready today.

So any speculation as to why it took a full week after the work was done to release the jeep, no one would answer me over the phone and I was put thru to the service mangers voice mail a few times but still no answer.

I have no idea how long it should take, but if I were you I'd be over there in person demanding to speak to the manager and to see your jeep and all the paperwork associated with this repair. And ask for a proper explanation as to why this is taking so long and why you don't have your jeep back yet

Other than that, I've got nothing

Or maybe the synchro didn't fix the problem & they're afraid to admit it?

Took Lucas Jeep exactly 1 week to get mine back to me. They've got a great reputation around these parts so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Seemed like a long time to me, but I'm no mechanic.

turns out they had some issues putting the skid plates and exhaust back on, had tyo cut the exhaust off to start with, so i got a new center pipe and a t-case service out of the deal.

Every single thing I've heard on this forum has been very positive regarding Lucas Jeep. Wish we had a dealership like them down here in central Texas.

Glad to see that they took care of you, despite the delay and initial lack of communication.
