smittybilt?

What's the difference between the xrc 10 and the xrc10 comp series. The description is the same for both.

I believe the only difference is the synthetic line and aluminum fairlead.

They are both made by the same 10 year old kids at the Smittybuilt Chinese Enslavement Camp.

Not true, the comp series are made by the adult inmates at the political dissident re-education camps - so they should be of better quality because the workers are under the gun rather than the whip.

Depends on what you want really, but Considering a rope alone can cost $200, and is generally safer (depending on user), I'll let you do the math.

yes it's worth the extra money....it's safer and the rope doesn't weigh 100 pounds so less spring reduction on your front end!

i dropped the $ on the comp. and added the lifetime warrenty through bustabizz... basically if i ever snap my rope, or bury my winch in a mud puddle and kill it, they'll replace it... smart 40 dollar investment IMHO

31 jeeps in... still have issues

Is bustabizz a member here, or just a shop somewhere in the internet black hole?

I also went with the XRC 8 comp. You can check it out at the install party if I get it in time.

Yea, does anyone know that for 100% sure? I do have the lifetime, but never even thought about asking about the rope when getting the warranty. So, if rope included, sweet for me!

I don't see it covering the rope, too.

The other option is to just get the XRC8 and then pick up the synthetic line on eBay for $100 for 95', I think. I can't remember the name of the seller right off, though.

Hello! The Comp series winches are free shipping, come with a free cover and they also have a $50 mail in rebate on that right now. Give me a call to order, 800-333-5535 ext. 938.

The weigh savings and safety of a Synthetic line is well worth it in my opinion, plus nobody mentioned once you spool steel line in wrong once and it kinks its pretty much ruined, so you would have $200 just in a synthetic rope to replace the crappy steel one anyway.
