Tierod/Ball Joint Question

I was under the jeep last night and noticed that my tierod was sagging (rotated on the ball joint). Is this normal or is this the result of my ball joints getting janky?

I didn't feel any slop moving it side to side, or feel any when i tried to lift/push up on the tierod.

I think this thing is finally coming together. Still Needed: drive shafts, frame mount rails...then done son! For a while...

The rotational movement you are refering to is normal. There should be no side to side or vertical movement.

Thanks, it kinda freaked me out. I know ball joints are supposed to swivel, but wasn't sure if it was a precurser to a bigger issue.
