Help me decide on this wreck.

I finally have the option to buy the rolled rig that was posted in this thread:
https://www.jkowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3926 Picts on bottom of first page.
Rad,fan, alt bracket,1 body mount, and a small things and the drive train is done. about 600 bucks for those parts and $3200 for the rig. So i would have a $3800 running 08 Ruby with a hammered body. I could cut off the body and make a trail rig or maybe even just pull out the dents enough to use as a drivable heap. Doors and openings plus the AC condenser are wasted .The frame, axle's, suspension and underneath look OK. I'm on the fence on this one so I'm asking opinions, options and deal or no deal. Thanks.

I would say no. The body would be too much work for what you would get out of it. The drivetrain isn't all that big of a deal to make a trail-only rig out of.

I'd say there might be value in the scraps like the axles if they are still good. The body is a true total looking at the limited pics. I'm not sure I'd even make a trail rig out of it.

Sorry about your roll over. Dont think it worth anything but scrap.

Bent/ cracked frames are VERY difficult to diagnose and can be equally hard to repair. That roll over was a nasty one. I would steer clear. FWIW- Many frame damaged vehicles (even slight) can really drive/ handle poorly. I would buy a cheap used TJ to build up rather than that one...preferably one that is close to stock and one owner or lower mileage.

Thanks! I'll pass but it will be for sale if anybody want's it. I had first dibs and really like that rig off road and would like to see it cut into a trail rig.
