Currie D60 / Kingpin....?

I know anything can be built? And with River Raider coming with the axle kits. Would this open up the market more for custom D60 applications..

I know some where Rock Krawler converted their Currie D60 to kingpin on "the victim"

My idea:

Currie center section
Crane kingpins or (similar manufacturer)
High steer arms, chromoly or 300 studs
5:13. Cyro treated
35 or 40 spline RCV...?
ARB locker
And computer compliant/friendly....
6 x 5.5 lug....or etc..

Suggestions or point me in the direction to do this...FOR REAL!

Whats on the site is just a sampling of "on the shelf" items. Call and get a price quote. I have also seen Dynatrac D60s with Kingpins, I believe ordered from Dynatrac that way. You gotta call for a quote. They asked me if I wanted my axle kingpin when I ordered my front, but I was already over my spending limit at the time - a stupid move in retrospect.

I would go with an 8x6.5 bolt pattern if you dont already have an axle/wheel in 6x5.5. You have the option to go with a full float rear with the 8x6.5 that i dont think you can with any 6 or 5 bolt pattern.

I already have a rear currie 60, bolt pattern 5 x 5, but that can always be changed, the rear I ordered was on the fly, cause I broke my 44.

I'm looking on getting or would like to have built front axle. Looking on scoring an new front in a month or less.

Yeah I was gonna ask why King Pin? That is so 1970 I have Rock Jock 60's in my Ultra4 Car, (with Ball Joints) A ball joint will turn alot sharper than a king pin set up. Mine were built with Super Duty ball joints, and I know my Ultra4 car has been beat more than a JK will ever see. No ball joint problems yet.

How much does your Ultra4 Car weigh?

I think people take King Pin as "the best" far to often. Depends on the application.
