Awesome! She's already done more to her Jeep than I have and I've had mine for almost 2 years now. I just keep telling myself - baby steps.

Awesome! VERY similar to our 3rd JK. The rig I got my son this year: Silver '09 2dr and added Procomp 7089's with GY Duratracs...went with 285/70R17's because I nixed the lift: Insurance company wanted a fortune on a lifted rig for a 17 year old.
I remember when my dad bought me my first CJ, and it was a pleasure to share the excitement with my son. We also added new bumpers and lights to the '09 so far...little things to teach him how to wrench.

I will get a photo of the line up once she gets it home. She's pretty excited about trading her Liberty in for the JK.

You guys must be rich or really love your kids. I make quite a bit but I'm not willing to part with it by getting my kid a jeep. I'd rather invest it in stock, for retirement, or pay off my house quicker. I don't like stretching my money on a month to month basis but whatever works for you guys.

I agree, where did that come from?

Perhaps he's just better at managing his money than you are, gthegato... The JK and the Corvettes in my garage were all paid for with cash, and I make a lot less than people think. It's amazing how much money you can save up when you're disciplined enough to save for the things you want. I won't be buying my kids any cars, but I'm confident that they'll have saved up enough by the time they're 16 to buy their own brand new Jeeps if they want them.

Yup, all 4 of my children have paid for their own vehicles. I don't believe in just buying things like that for them. They work hard for what they want and appreciate it more because they had to work for it..

PS Thanks Andy.. How ya doin' , haven't seen ya in awhile.

You hit that right on the nose. Some opinions need to be kept to yourself and not posted, period.

Something really sweet about seeing a black Jeep in the snow.

Very cool that she is doing this on her own, and has gone in such a cool direction. Liberty.....be damned!

Congrats to her.

I want to play in the snow! Wish I could make it home to Nipigon for Christmas...

Whenever I do make it home next, we'll have to get together and wheel.

Congrats on the new addition (even if it is a 2-door)
