PitBull or Wrangler??

I have been having a chat with some of my fellow JKO wheelers and decided to post up and get the rest of the forums opinion.

The time has come to replace my tires and I am not sure what tire to choose. I have been running 37" BFG KM2's for the past two years and they have served me well (until Arizona) but the BFG is on the small side in the world of 37's. If BFG made a 38" tire that wasn't 14.5" inches wide I would get that but they don't.

I have narrowed my choice down to the 37" GY MTR Kevlar or the Pitbull Rocker Radial.

What do you guys think?

I hear the rocker radial is very impressive Offroad with nice street manners as well. This is what I've been looking into as well.

I've heard awesome things about the MTR's but I haven't heard anything about the Pitbulls, atleast for street use.
I'm intrested in how they (Pitbull) wear and how they handle on road.

As a person who has wheeled pitbull tires. They work so well that I became a dealer. The fact that I sell them aside. Other than Maxxis stickies I wouldn't wheel anything other than a pitbull rocker. The wear good on the road. They clean out better than any other tire I have been around and without all the road noise. Hands down the best tire on the market today imho

I know there are alot of peeps on here that run MTR's and praise them. I've never ran a set on my Jeep but I did run a set on my 2500 Chevy and they sucked. My cousin has a set of Goodyears newest all terrrain on his 2500 they look awesome but they are pitting out, roar like crazy, and even balanced ride like crap just like my MTR's did. I've had several friends over the years that have run MTR's and other all/mud terrain Goodyears and no one I know has ever had any good luck out of any Goodyear tire all of them experiencing the same problems. Just my 2 cents.

The MTRs have been a bit of a pain to balance so far, part of that problem is related to the beadlkcks as well. The same would happen with any tire IMO....

Will test them out this weekend - I have heard nothing but good things about both the MTRs and the Rockers. If they perform as good as they look either will kick ass IMO

Well, my decision is that I am going to get both!

Eventually! This Friday I am putting the MTR Kevlars on my Pro-Comp wheels and then when ATX gets the Beadlocks released I will get a set of the Pitbulls for those.

I really like the Pitbulls but my JK is currently my daily driver and the MTR's will serve me better on the street. That, plus the fact that Joe at Absolute Offroad gave me a screamin deal for 5 MTR's.

Will post some pics of the new shoes.
