I was curious, so I used GOOGLE to find "wheels with lips".

Here's an example of an image that my search turned up...

I am assuming that you are referring to the portion of the wheel, that is flat, sticking out past the spines that connect the lug nut area, to the outside portion of the wheel.

That is all going to be determined by the offset of your wheel of choice. Offset is directly related to backspacing... First, try to find a type of wheel that you want to use on your JK, and go from there. The wheel manufacturer specs each wheel with it's offset and backspacing.

He is referring to the lip between the edge of the rim to the spokes on the rim. Won't stick out any further, just the spokes are "sunk" into the rim

they don't stick out further than the tire! The rest of the wheel is just pulled deeper in. They also call these "deep dish wheels"

These wheels are known for their "deep dish" look.

I love the look on a big ass truck, don't know if it works on the JK, but that isn't for me to judge.

I can get them for you.

**We'll have to do some research on the backspacing to see which ones work. The really deep dish ones are 20" + diamonds...must...LOL

I bet some deep dish 100 spoke rims would be cool. Maybe even with the spokes in gold.

I follow what you're after. You don't want a wheel that has no inset and that makes perfect sense. A LOT of wheels have this, just do a little digging.

Check out KMC XD, ATX, Pro Comp, ect.

I'll hook you up when you pick something out!

If you mean wheels that look deep from the outside. Not sure what you mean by "lips"
Mine are Procomp 8179 15x8 with 3.75BS

I'm not trying to be a dick, but are we still going over this?

Deep dish isn't a choice on a jeep. Offset needs to be greater, which causes this look. It's not the same as 1989 when people would do this to their Buicks.

Here is some advice: Choose a set of rims that you like. Then base the offset / backspacing on the tire size chosen and you WILL have the desired "deep dish" look you are seeking. It isn't really an option, unless you are running a stock size narrown tire. Any larger, wider, tire will give this look.

I think this is what you're looking for:

Just make sure you get the right bolt pattern, 5x135.

this ^^^^^ all rims on jk should be 4.5 inch back spacing or less which will give the "deep dish" look as you call it
