Tires for stock Sahara

I am sure this question has been ask a million times but I am not having any luck searching. What is the largest tire I can run on a stock height Sahara? I am gonna run A/Ts I don't do enough off roading to justify a lift right now. I have the 18s. Stock is 255/70/18. I would like to go taller and wider. Thanks in advance.

I went with 33's BFG Baja T/A's. There was rubbing on sharp turns, so I put some wheel spacers in the that did it.

Hell, my Sahara stockers have rubbed the swaybars enough to take some paint off... I guess it's all in your driving habits. Mine tended to be a little less than sane when I first got my Bertha.

I have a stock Sahara with 255/70R18 tires also. The biggest size you can go without heavy scraping is 33"
I'd go with some M/T's, they'll benefit you in the future when you do decide to get a lift and are off-roading more.

For what its gonna cost for wheel spacers and tires for 18" wheels you may as well get a package deal for 17" tires and wheels with a 4.5" backspace. problem solved..
