Rubicon locker

Is the plunger on a rubi D44 factory housing/locker needed for a non rubicon install? Nothing plugs into it but I wasnt sure if it was still an integral part of locking the diff.

I assume you are going to install a Rubi axle into a non-Rubi JK, and supply it with switched 12v to the locker actuator. Correct?

In that case, the plunger, (locked/unlocked sensor), serves no purpose, and is not needed for the locker to function.
