S40 clockspring recall

Hi everyone so my clockspring appears to be bad in my 2012 jk I have no radio controls or horn but my cruise works. If I turn the wheel hard left all the way then back off an inch or so they work. My question is the s40 recall for the clockspring was performed back in 2016 by previous owner but I'm seeing people with letters extending the clockspring warranty to 15yrs unlimited miles. Would I be covered by this? Jeep sees alot of dust which is most likely the cause of the failure and the reason behind the original recall. Seems like 2 years isnt very long for it to ha e failed again thanks everyone.

The dealer would be your best source of information on that.

I would take it to the dealer and tell them to lookup the recall. Do not rely on them to tell you it's covered.

If regards to your statement. I have had the recall done and got a second letter a year later stating I need to go in again. I'm just holding the second one until the clockspring goes again.

Good advice and would also try running the Vin on the website to see if any open recalls. Who knows they may already "know" its one of the shit replacements and you could already have an open tag.

I ran mine for shits and giggles and am showing quite a few open
