Pontoon boat

I have a chance to purchase a 2015 20ft pontoon boat with a 40hp 4-stroke motor. Single axle trailer but no trailer brakes. My 2016 Wrangler JKU is a bone stock Sport except I bought a set of new take off 2018 Rubicon tires & wheels on it. I believe the ratio on mine is something like 3:36. The tires are much larger than stock. Speedo is off by 2mph. If your showing 58, your doing 60.
So, naturally, my question is——will my Jeep be okay pulling it? I have a Ram 1500 4x4 but it will be pulling our travel trailer. The lake is just 40 miles from my house. I’m being told that the whole unit weighs in around 2800 to 3000#.
I have limited time to make my decision on the purchase, so, all help is so greatly appreciated. Please be kind.

Just have a ton of fun.

You'll be ok pulling it, but you'll know it's back there.

I agree with this but be aware, your close to your limits.

When you start adding gear to your set up (coolers, fuel, etc), you’re going to get even closer, or over what’s recommended. If you have an “automatic” transmission, remember that “heat” is the enemy.

I’d put as much in you P/U as possible when you are taking it also. P/U was built to haul/pull.
Wrangler not so much.
