shocks or shocks and springs

Hi I have a 08 JKU Sahara with 118000 miles and 33"s with no lift. I really am not looking to lift it but the ride itself is very bad. The shocks are gone and I was wanting to give it a better ride (daily driver). I have been looking at the Fox 2.0 and my son says I should replace the springs too. Money is a consideration so if I need springs also then may have to buy some cheaper Shocks?
Opinions?

Probably don't need new springs.

Recommend Rancho RS9000XL. Nine levels of adjustability so you can get the ride perfect. Take the adjustment knobs off and put some lithium grease in the holes before running them. They'll love you long time.

It's probably also time to consider new bushings all around.

You should not need coils. I would take a good look at your tires and make sure you are properly sized and inflated.

Check your tires, make sure they are inflated properly, and have a lighter load range. Then check your shocks. If you bounce a corner, and it bounces more than once or twice, they need replaced. I love my Falcon shocks, but they can be expensive on a budget.
