I learned a lot from this forum and used it a lot when I was having problems with my EGR valve so I thought I would share my experience. So I got the code (I don't remember which one but it was the EGR valve). Went to my local jeep garage (not dealer) and they changed the valve. Still got the code. Went to dealer for diagnostic, $200 later, they can't find the problem. Went to a car electrician as I understood the problem to be electrical. This guy diagnoses a faulty EGR valve, although it's new. He insists it's the valve. OK, so he changes it. Still get the code. All this happens during the course of a few months (I'm still trying to find the solution myself on the forums, LOL). So this electrician guy says it's still the EGR valve, although I'm on my 2nd new valve. He says let's try an OEM EGR valve and what do you know, it's solved. My car did not like the 2 aftermarket valves (two different brands). I know lots of people have EGR problems, so I thought I'd share this.
