Whining sound

Hey guys, I have went to the dealership about 15 times trying to have these guys figure out what this sound could be. I have a 2015 jku sport. At first they thought the noise was coming from my power steering pump, but after replacing that it was still there. Then they thought I had steel bits going through the pump for some reason.. so they flushed the Jeep and replaced the pump again. I took off my metal Melisha exhaust and it’s not that either. I have seen in other forums that it could possibly be a aftermarket cold air intake problem... I have a k&n air intake that I installed and I’m going to put the factory back in tomorrow and see if it’s that. The whining sound in there when in hot temperatures and when accelerating. I have a video of the sound, but it will not let me post it.

Sound like a power steering pump to me. Your rocking the steering wheel as its making the noise. All pps make that noise while the vehicle is not moving.

That’s what my mechanic thought too. He replaced the power steering pump twice and it didn’t do anything.

it does sound a bit like the oilpump ...definitely a belt component. Goin thru them all ( excluding the new PS pump) , if the idler pulley bearing is overdue for replacement, additional stresses can result & placed upon the h2o pump bearing as-we’ll-as the alternator. My bet is on the alternator , ‘specially w/ the heat comin into play as op mentioned...

It honestly sounds like you just need to throw a supercharger on it to cover up the bad whining noise with a good whining noise...
