Alloy Rim damage

I have a question, I have 16X9.5 Alloy rims on my JK sport, with 12.5 X35's It seems after every off road trip, (I run blue and easy blacks) my rim's keep taking hits from the rocks, gouging the rim near the bead. Is this the cost of Eastern jeepen with all the rocks or is there something wrong with he set up? anyone else seeing this?

Totally normal. Wheels are a wear item in this area, don't buy wheels that your emotionally attached to.... I often play at Rausch Creek on rocks, and Trudy me... my wheels get a bit lighter every visit

two things come to mind. perhaps either too much psi and/or not careful on taking proper lines. altho 9.5" wide rims i will contribute.
