Getting ready to pick up a new JK... 08 or 09?

Anyone know what the differences are between the '08 and the '09? From what I can tell, it's just minor updates with the stereo. Am I missing anything else? I can get a $1,000 rebate on an '08 Rubi, and no rebate offers on the '09 yet. Trading in the Evo on a 4 door Rubi for the wife.

I'm not up to speed on the changes, but I would guess they are insignificant. Just make sure you get Flame Red. They go faster.

I don't think it was mentioned above, but there is a change in the 09 freedom top panels. I believe that there is an additional latch in the center that helps cur down on wind noise. Not sure this is worth the 1000 difference...

is there a center latch on the soft top too? if there is, i wonder if that, and the new latch for the freedom top panels can be retro-fitted to the '07 panels and soft top???

anyone know?

is the shape of the freedom panels different too, or is it just an extra latch screwed into the same panel?

Don't believe it could be worth a grand. My 08' hard top is completely silent- no wind noise whatsoever. Now the "leak factor" may be a totally different story, as they still had problems with the 08's.

My '08 was produced in June; had it since Aug. Driven thru a couple of good storms, No leaks as of yet. It whistles a bit but nothing compared to my old CJ or Bronco. I've had the front tops off, the rear hasn't been removed yet.

I'd save the Grand; I wouldn't pay more then $29K unless it had Dualtop and MyGig. then maybe $30k. Rubicon 4dr with auto, Dualtops and MyGig were window discounted to $30500 in Tulsa, OK 2 months ago. I'd say the price only go's down from there.

I thought that I read somewhere that Jeep has also made some changes in the frame for 2009 to stiffen it and improve the ride. Anyone else see this or know anything about it? Thanks.

military members, AARP, and all affiliate program members can get EP + $200 on all Jeep Wranglers and then take the $1500 rebate.

will save around $5000 off MSRP on a rubicon

I did not see the front seat sliders on the list.

I heard they were bringing back the front seat fold and tumble feature from the TJ. Was that just on the 2 door or did it not make it in for 2009??

BTW, When you say EVO are you talkin mitsu?

If so that ius the same thing I traded in to get my Jeep! I am missin the 4g63...

Get a cheap 07 and use the savings to put a HEMI in it. The JK motor is poop, pure aluminum poop.

I no longer work with Warrior. I am now working with The FIRM.

That's invoice plus $75 minus any rebates and incentives. I think there's still a $750 "loyalty" or "competing brand" incentive to work also.

If you're good at negotiating you should be able to get the '09 for about $250 more than the '08....

there is a $1500 rebate on the 2008s and none on the 2009s. Chrysler also had an across the board price increase on October 3rd.

the EP is 3% back of invoice - its a CDI program that is in place of current affiliate deals.

If your price is after rebates, then you are actually $500 over invoice as the rebate is $1500.

PM me about this and I can help you work a better deal.
