AFE dry air intake and throttle response controller

Looking to do a few mods to the intake and throttle control on my new 2018 JKU and through reading and recommendation I have decided I wanna do the AFE system.

Do these additions though void the warranty on the powertrain since they are not a mopar part or jeep affiliated company?

A modification voids a warranty if it can be shown that the modification caused the damage. This is a tough one because it's sort of the dealer's call in the end. A dealer who has questionable integrity could blame an intake for just about any drive train damage. They'd be wrong in most cases, but they could do it and it's their call that almost always wins (on occasion you can go up the chain and get Jeep/Chrysler to help you out but usually not). A reputable high-quality dealer would only void damage that is highly likely to have been caused by an insufficient or incorrectly installed air filtration system. For example if your rear main seal goes out, a good dealer would repair it because there's no conceivable way the intake could have caused that damage, but a shady dealer would say the intake made your engine run wrong and wore out the seal and you're basically at the mercy of their decision.
