Window Vent Visors

I'm interested in a set of window vent visors / wind deflectors (whatever you call them) for a JKU so I can keep my windows cracked open in the summer heat while at work, while not allowing the rain in from surprise showers.

Here's the kicker....they need to be in-channel type vents, not the ones that rely on 3M tape to stay attached. When I remove the doors, i roll down the windows and hang them doors on brackets on my wall in the garage. If the vent visors attach with 3M tape, I won't be able to hang them on the brackets anymore.

I've searched here and other forums, browsed Quadratec, Morris, Northridge, JC Whitney, etc, Amazon and all......any help finding an existing product that fits the bill would be greatly appreciated!

I have those German metal vents for camping that go inside the groove above the window on the rear doors. I love them. Got them for heat, dogs, camping humidity. And i just leave them on every day - Ive found they reduce how much the wind buffets me on the highway.

2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited | Rain Guards - Side Window Deflectors for Cars Trucks SUVs and Minivans | WeatherTech.com
I just plugged in 2014 for the year but it shouldn't matter. You can edit the year on that page, but I'm thinkin' they are all the same for JKUs.

The double-sided tape type suck for no other reason than it's tape...that will pull the paint off after a few years baking in the sun.

I have the Weather Tech units on my 2017 JKU. They are great. Have used them on several vehicles.

I'll have to look into those, thank you!

OldHippie, do you have yours installed without using the tape? and, if so, are they holding well??

The WeatherTechs are tapeless. They fit into the window channel.
(I'm an absolute hater of anything being taped into place, particularly, when it creates a gap for dirt and grime to collect, and the possibility of taking off paint if you want to remove them.)

I can't comment on how well they hold on a JK/JKU, but I did lose the driver's side on my WJ once when the window was down. I considered it a freak occurrence.
The rears and front passenger on my WJ haven't given me any issues. I also have the WTs on all four doors of my F350...never an issue.

The thing that sold me on them is their TUV approval.
(TUV is the German vehicle inspection standard...very tough and thorough inspection. The taped type are not approved.)

Surprise showers in Texas, that's like an oxymoron. Well, I will give you this it has been an awkward year for rain in North East Texas. Hell I wore a sweater today on my way to work (top off).

If I were to choose any, I would go with Weather Tech. Tapeless design.

No tape. Installs in window channel. Need to be a little careful putting them in but they do work great!
