Rear bumper with tire carrier opinions

Hi from northern California. I am new to the group and would like some advise. I am looking to purchase a new rear bumper with tire carrier for my 2012 JK. I searched the forums but the discussions are from 2012 and older. Any ideas? Thank you.

How will you use the Jeep?
Have you decided on a body mounted or bumper mounted carrier?
Steel or aluminum?
Have you found one you "kinda" like?

Welcome aboard. Tell us a little about your rig and it's intended use and you'll find everyone to be very opinionated.

Thank you rebltrubi for your help. We use our jeep for pleasure in mud, snow and dirt roads in the mountains. (not too extreme). I have decided to have a steel body mounted setup. I have found one that looks pretty good to me, the Ace JK Pro Series, but I am open for suggestions. Thanks

That's a good bumper for a good price. For a small company they make great products.

I might have one I would be interested in selling.. warn elite with the tire carrier. I bought it off Craigslist and I might be moving another way in my build. I have the front bumper to match as well. Not looking for a profit, just what I'm into it

My friend and I both had a rear bumper and tire carrier put on. His is 2015 rubi, mine is 2011 rubi, both 4dr. We have Rockhard 4x4 rear bumper and tire carrier. Very happy.

Hey, welcome to JKO! I may be biased but we have 2 rear tire carrier options you may like. We have the standard rear swing arm and a cage rear swing arm. Both come fully powder coated and have FREE SHIPPING! You can even get the rear bumper with lights from KOR. Feel free to PM us with any questions, here are a few pics. (the cage comes with the license plate relocation and 3rd brake light)

I bought a cheapo Chinese rear bumper/tire carrier for my jeep. Mines been holding up great BUT how the carrier mounts to the bumper does not have a grease fitting on it causes it to be very difficult to open after a few months.

so you do get what you pay for but to a certain point. My rear bumper while clearly worse quality, was half the price of others. And its more than half as good.

This is the type of company I'd go with if I was looking for something heavy duty.

A company that isn't a household name but yet still makes good products. Or you can go with a household name like Warn and pay the same amount without the tire carrier.
