Thumbs down gear change

I plan on putting a lift on my Unlimited, and know I'll need to change gearing to accommodate a larger tire. IF i were to put on a 35" tire what gear ratio would work best. And call me an idiot, but would changing out the ring and pinion be all I'd have to do?

you'll get differing opinions on this, but mine is that if you have an automatic, go with 5.13. if you have a manual, go with 4.88.

I've got 5:13's for the last year with an automatic & 35's, Just went to 38's and still have plenty of get up & go.

yup yup what they said
5.13s for auto 4.88 should be enough for stick
you'll need ring and pinions and install kits
and a decent shop to do it unless you've done it before or a very patient and have the right equipment
