transfer case flange

I have a 2011 jk sport. Recently the bolts on the transfer case flange broke. We got a New one and we took out the old one it has what we believe is a balancer on the case flange but the new one does not. Can anyone tell me if its ok to run without the balancer? Any help is appreciated.

I have seen these a couple of times. You dont need it. Why it is only on a few jeeps I have no idea.

I'm pretty sure they come on all jks with manual transmissions. My manual blazer had one too.

I have seen lots of manual transmission jeeps without them, cant recall if I have ever seen an auto with one. No clue honestly.
