HELP! Please.

Went out this morning and the Jeep won't start.

1. I put the key in and everything acts normally.
2. I turn the key and get one click. And nothing else.
3. Only other thing to note is all Gears are lit on the dash: I have an Automatic. Under the speedo, it lights up with R or D, but now R D 2 3 4 are all lit with a box aurrounding.

Anyone have any idea what the hell happened?

Battery. I just replaced mine. It doesn't have to be that weak for it to not start. That's all you'll get is a click.

LOL. Not yet. Gonna have to find a battery in the morning. Tonight is date night with the wifey... kids are asleep. Steaks are cooking. Tequila is chilled... you get the picture.

Replaced mine with a blue top. It's the same as the yellow top, but the extra terminals are on the top instead of the side. The warranty is a little longer too, but it costs about $25 more.

My youngest DirtyGirl is ALL about singing and dancing... so, yeah I imagine one day soon we'll be in that position.

My oldest DirtyGirl is ALL about animals... she is f e a r l e s s when it comes to any animal, bug, spider, flying thingee, or fishey.

So, maybe we can sell whatever weird little creature my oldest finds to fund my youngest's singing and dance lessons?

Talk about $$ ! ...

I ride a bike to work. My oldest took the Honda 3 years ago. My wife drives the Acura. My daughter just turned 16. That leaves what vehicle for her to drive? THE TOAD! Fortunately, she's a natural. I've banged it up more than her. But I really am thinking of getting another vehicle just to keep her out of the JK.

2008 Rescue Green UJK Rubicon 6 spd with a bunch of super cheap mods!

FAWK!

I went out to the Jeep to go to lunch and... *click*

Won't start. Guy at Don A Vee sez I have a "draw" somewhere. Frustrating to shell out $200 on a Yellow Top and have the same damn problem 4 days later. Mr T is NOT HAPPY.

Going to get a AAA jump start and take it to Don A Vee in the morning.

Soooooooooooo, tested the battery and it's kicking out 1150AMPs. Which means there is no draw on the system... so, took it to Don A Vee and they confirmed that it is the starter.

Hopefully will be "fixed" tomorrow.

Under warranty? Was the OEM or the Optima under the hood when you took it in?
